Even with good insurance, injuries can set your finances back in a big way. And when you’re hurt, the last thing you want to worry about is out-of-pocket expenses you’re not prepared to pay.

Accident Insurance can help, by paying benefits directly to you if you get treatment for a covered accident. That way, your injury doesn’t have to derail your financial security.

You can file claims online and easily track the status of your claim.

Commonly asked questions about Unum Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance can pay a benefit directly to you if you are injured and need treatment, whether you go to a physician’s office, urgent care center or the emergency room.

The amount of benefits you receive is based on the plan offered to you by your employer and depends on the type of injury and the required treatment as determined by your physician. There is no lifetime or annual maximum payout.

The payments are made directly to you and the money can be used to cover co-pays, deductibles or personal bills and expenses that your medical plan doesn’t cover.

If you’ve enrolled in Unum benefits like Accident Insurance, you can log in to your account to file a claim, view the status of a claim, and provide updated claim information. If you don’t have an account, you can register here.
